Exploring how Seal Team Flix (a flicking game) implements a particularly challenging mechanism — stealth in tabletop games with no hidden information. It creates an interesting puzzle to solve.
The stealth system looks very similar to that used in Black Ops published by Osprey Games. Worth looking at for inspiration on similar ideas.
Same general idea: your units generate sound tokens. The main difference is that Black Ops is a PVP skirmish wargame. The defending player sets his mooks out around the battlefield, and they actually move around randomly on their turn, which could lead them right into the attacker's forces.
really interesting – i would love to see more 'creative' ways of implementing stealth in TTRPGs! feels like there could be a lot of interesting choices there. thank you for sharing <3
You should check out Catacombs, the flicking dungeon crawler. It does some very creative stuff with standard fantasy tropes.
I enjoyed the flicking part of STF more than I thought I would. I’ll keep an eye out for Catacombs to see if I can give it a try.
Thanks!

Oh that’s very interesting! I’ll check it out.
Thank you!
Sounds like old school to me

This is a fascinating concept. Definitely a game that I would love to play if I could find players interested in board games.
