I find it so strange when people release mech games without... any mechs in them. I want to look at the mechs and have my lizard/12 yo kid-mind blown. The "your mech can look like anything" approach of these games I find so unsatisfying. This is probably why I am Lancer all the way.
It's one of those things where Battletech doesn't really allow much form-customization beyond weaponry/jets/armor - like if you have a Mad Cat, well, you've got a Mad Cat, you're not swapping the legs/etc. Re: mech identity, if it's good enough for Battletech, it's good enough for me.
Hi, I've checked the YZE Discord, on the project announcement section and found a long list of games under the SRD.
Here is the list of about 20 games from that section, these games are either published or have had a funding campaign. However, there are at least 4 to 6 more that are just in draft form or behind a paywall.
Oh, wow! Thank you so much for compiling this list and sharing it! YZE has been a bit of a blind spot for me I guess, having only recently discovered it. Love that push system in it!
I'll have to check some of these out. Thanks for the comment!

Mech games should definitely include mechs! :)
Not sure exactly what you're talking about but Apocalypse Frame has designated Frame types. It's not like Armored Core with mix and match parts.
There aren't explicit leg/arm/head/torso/engine parts like Armored Core, but you can certainly swap out armaments and systems.
Thanks for the comment! Swapping out weapons and customizing is always one of my favorite parts of games.
True! I guess I don't really consider armament an intrinsic component to a mech identity.

I find micro editions of systems interesting, and YZE has:
* [Year Zero Mini - 3 Skulls Pub | DriveThruRPG](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/347805/year-zero-mini) ([Legacy DTRPG - Year Zero Mini - 3 Skulls Pub ](<https://legacy.drivethrurpg.com/product/347805/year-zero-mini>))
* and the even more stripped-down [Year Zero Nano - 3 Skulls Pub | DriveThruRPG](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/428356/year-zero-nano?src=hottest_filtered) ([Legacy DTRPG - Year Zero Nano - 3 Skulls Pub ](<https://legacy.drivethrurpg.com/product/428356/year-zero-nano?src=hottest_filtered>))
Oh this is interesting! I'm definitely going to check these out.
So the Stress Dice component from EA was actually first introduced in the Alien RPG from FL.
Absolutely! EA is based on the YZE just like Alien, so they both have the push mechanism. Very cool system.
Absolutely! I've even taken that general idea and adapted it into Genesys and basically any other game that has a dice pool.
